Members Of Greek Far Right Golden Dawn Party Scuffle With Police

Greece's anti-immigrant Golden Dawn party scuffled with police who stopped them distributing food exclusively to Greeks in Athens' central square on Thursday (May 2) ahead of the Greek Orthodox Easter holiday on May 5.

Footage released by the party showed Golden Dawn members in their trademark black t-shirts hitting riot police on the head with rolled up Greek flags after being prevented from unloading eggs, bread, lamb to hand out in Syntagma Square.

Far-right Golden Dawn MP Giorgos Germenis hits 12-year-old girl in attack on Athens mayor Giorgos Kaminis over Greek-only food handout

A Greek far-right MP has reportedly accidentally struck a 12-year-old girl in an apparent attempt to attack the mayor of Athens.

During mayor Giorgos Kaminis’ visit to a food giveaway in the capital, members of the far-right Golden Dawn party entered a distribution centre and reportedly moved towards him in a threatening manner.

Ukrainian ultra-nationalists march in Lviv

Ukrainian ultra-nationalists marched in the center of the western city of Lviv on April 28, 2013 to mark the 70th anniversary of the 14th SS-Volunteer Division "Galician" foundation.

The 14th Waffen Grenadier Division was a World War II German military formation initially made up of volunteers from the region of Galicia with a Ukrainian ethnic background, but later also incorporated Slovaks, Czechs and Dutch volunteers and officers.

Far-right descends on Paris for May Day

Hundreds of activists marched in Paris on Wednesday behind the leader of the far-right National Front, which is riding high on a wave of discontent over the country's stagnating economy.

 The National Front, which stages a procession through the French capital on May 1 every year to celebrate folk heroine Joan of Arc, is currently doing well in opinion polls on the back of the economic crisis and a deeply unpopular government.

Police investigate 14 suspected neo-Nazis

Authorities in Germany are investigating 14 suspected members of neo-Nazi terror groups, news magazine Der Spiegel reports.

Of those, 10 are in connection with the activities of the NSU neo-Nazi terror cell, which killed eight Turkish people and one Greek as well as a German policewoman over a period of seven years.
