At 6 p.m. the participants of the rally gathered at Taras Shevchenko park carrying torchlights, Svoboda flags and banners with the inscriptions 'The land belongs to people', 'Get rid of anti-national regime of oligarchs and Ukrainophobic people' and marched along the main streets of Kyiv to the Independence Square chanting 'Bandera, Shukhevych are our heroes who were fighting for you and me', 'Glory to UPA heroes! Strong country for Ukrainians'.
The rally was peacefull and ran without incidents, Interfax reported. Similar marches took place in other Ukrainians cities. Svoboda parliamentary fraction leader Oleh Tiahnybok participated in the celebrations held in Bandera's homevillage Old Ugryniv in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
