The rally is meant as a counter-demonstration against a Jobbik gathering planned for the city’s Avas housing estate on the same day.
Jobbik said its event, the March for Hungarian Life, had been organised to warn the government and local residents that “people have run out of patience” and “there is no public safety in Hungary”.
NGOs in Miskolc have published an open letter asking Jobbik not to hold its demonstration.
