Griffin takes a bite out of Apple

Griffin's Twitter feed yesterday
I regularly trawl around the internet, checking out the pages of all the nazi nutters out there, just to keep an eye on what they're up to. One of the sites I check is the Twitter feed for Nick Griffin, the leader of the British National Party.
In yesterday's feed, Griffin produced the following (mistakes included):
"Groming warning! Muslim gangs now targeting young girls in Apple shops. Show enthusiasm for latest phone/gadget & keep in touch at first thr social networking. Then usual pattern with cigs, drink & drugs. Working class girls wising up a bit, so middle class & guilty re racism are easier meat. Warning! Muslim paedo groomers now targeting English girls at Apple shops. Save a child, pass it on!"
Cambridge-educated and he can't spell 'grooming', despite the fact that he writes about it (though strangely, only when Muslims are involved) almost incessantly.
Although not the most popular man in the UK, Griffin is still an MEP (for now) and his Twitter feed does have nearly ten thousand followers and doubtless several times that number who just check it out for various reasons. These comments on his Twitter page can hardly be good for Apple's public image.
Apple is very hot on its image and how the public perceives the company and its products is of fundamental importance to it as a corporate entity. I can't imagine it'll be very pleased at Griffin's suggestion that its shops are swarming with paedophiles hanging around on the chance of chatting up a young female out to buy her first iWhatever.
Griffin is talking bollocks as usual just to make it look as if he's keeping his eye on the ball, but even if it was true, it isn't proper to go naming specific companies as though they are in some way complicit. Had he written to Apple to inform the company that such events were taking place in its stores and had been ignored, fine, but I'm willing to bet that he has done nothing of the kind.
Apple has a good reputation and with any luck they'll force Griffin to remove his rubbishy posts and apologise.
